Once upon a time, I started this account, in part to hide away things which I felt were nobody's business and to seek refuge from what had become something of a witch hunt. This is often the problem with having very public relationships. When they fall apart, your deviantWatch followers become children quarreled over after a messy divorce. ;)
I returned to my original account when my exile ended. And such is how it has been ever since. Why come back here and dust off the shelves after nearly four years? Simply put... I miss the indulgence of poetry.

my final journal here. forevermore back where i belong at peterdawes (https://www.deviantart.com/peterdawes). i can think of no more fitting goodbye than to focus on the renewal and rebirth of spring.

Pass the Poem: Spring
Climbing into the warm sun's rays
searching for its warm embrace
Drooping tendrils becoming vibrant green,
all these exotic things to be seen
Vibrant sounds of soft crushing pines,
The rain hitting the windowpane
The soft dew beneath one's feet in the morn'
the ever-shifting breeze blowing thoughts into daydreams
Buds bursting forth after long slumber
hide their faces from the world no longer
Dazzling in their colored shrouds
